Home-Made Ice Cream Social Planned
All are invited to a church-wide homemade ice cream social on Sunday, August 21 at 4:00PM. The Polly Branch Missions Group is planning this activity. Let's all sit down to several old-fashioned fellowship and fun with our favorite flavors of this delicious summertime treat!
Vacation Bible School Report
We are so very thankful that God blessed us with a wonderful VBS this year with Spark Studios VBS. We had a total (adult and children) enrollment of 57 with 32 children present. 5 children professed faith in Jesus Christ during this as well. A total of $379 was collected for our VBS offering ministry outreach: The Family Resource Center of Ahoskie, a local crisis-pregnancy care center! Thanks to all of our adult and youth volunteers and for God's help that made it a very exciting, fun, and life-changing week!
Deployed on Mission to Kentucky
Don Hoggard and James "Slick" Faella (Edgewood Baptist Church), has recently been deployed to deliver the Samaritan's Purse DRV (Disaster Relief Vehicle) to a devastating flood site in Garrett, a small mining town in Floyd County, in eastern Kentucky. To date, 37 people have been confirmed dead with several missing. Hundreds have lost their homes in the flood waters. Don and Slick have also volunteered to help for a few days before making their way back to North Carolina. Don and Slick plan to return Sunday, August 7. 
Fall Revival September 18-21, 2022
This event is still about 7 weeks away but plenty of time to place this on your calendars: September 18-21 (Sunday-Wednesday), Rev. Dennis Conner, Mission Strategist from the NC Baptist State Convention, Regions 1 and 2, will be with us at that time. Rev. Conner, originally from the Charlotte, NC area, has served in the West Chowan Baptist Association as pastor of both Riverside and Cashie Baptist churches, as well as a church planter in Tartesso, AZ, and Chicago, IL. Dennis has helped many churches in our local area and has been a good friend to them.
