Rev. Terry Stockman Departs for Western North Carolina
Terry Stockman our beloved Association Mission Strategist (DOM) will be departing for the Transylvania Baptist Association, Brevard, NC, to be their new AMS.  Terry has lovingly and faithfully served the WCBA since 2014.  Terry and Greta will be greatly missed!  A farewell reception will be given in their honor at the Missions Resource Center in Ahoskie on Sunday October 2 at 4:00pm.

Samantha Ross Hoggard Memorial Scholarship Award
Miss Morgan Bass, a nursing student at Campbell University, has been selected by the Brotherhood scholarship committee this year to receive the Samantha Ross Hoggard Memorial Scholarship.  This $1,500.00 scholarship is to be awarded to a deserving enrolled student in the medical field.  Morgan is the daughter of Patrick & April Forehand Bass of Edenton, and a 2019 graduate of John A. Holmes High School.   Morgan also recently received the prestigious 2022 Daisy Award for exemplary compassionate care to patients as a nursing student at Campbell University.

Will be Sunday, October 9 as a part of the 11:00am service.  Special emphasis this year will also highlight the Disaster Relief beginning to take place in Florida in the aftermath of the terribly destructive Hurricane Ian.   Please pick up your shoeboxes and start filling them.  The dedication and collection for the OCC Shoeboxes will be Sunday, November 20.  Our goal this year is 600 shoeboxes for the "Ice Bucket" challenge.   

Reboot Recovery
Our church missions groups are invited to have the honor of serving participants of Reboot Recovery on Thursday, October 27 at 6:00pm.   It will be an honor to serve these First Responders who have served us so well.  For more information on how you can help please contact Pastor Jeff at (252) 340-3272.

Our Christian Sympathy
